BUHSD Update 10-23

BUHSD Families,

Wednesday evening, you should have received an email and a text with the link to a parent survey asking about the different schedules that could be implemented this semester and what is best for your student.  If you have not filled it out, please use the following link to do so as soon as possible.  Our Governing Board members will be looking at the data received from the survey during a work study session next week.

Your student should have received a link sent to their school email account for a survey on Thursday morning.  Please encourage your student to fill out that survey as soon as possible as well.

As we have being doing since the school reopening dashboard was created, we are continuing to monitor the data each week.  As a district, we are still listed with an overall risk level of “moderate” with our recommended learning scenario being “hybrid with onsite support”.

  • Cases: we had an increase from 47.9 cases to 75.62 cases per 100,000 population, so we are maintaining this benchmark at the moderate level;
  • Percent Positivity: this percentage increased from 6.24% to 6.91% so we are still meeting this benchmark;
  • Covid-like Illness: we are still meeting this benchmark with Covid-like illness staying at 3% for the second week in a row.

Again, if you have not completed the survey, please do so as soon as possible.  Our Governing Board is anxious for the feedback to come from parents and students.

Sincerely,

Rob Roberson

Interim Superintendent
