Welcome to the Medical Assisting Program, where students will:
learn the basic anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, medical law and ethics, patient psychology and communications, medical office procedures, and clinical diagnostic, examination, testing, and treatment procedures.
• Perform clinical skills: electrocardiograms, vision testing, audiometry, administer medications, ear lavage, pulse oximetry and spirometry and peak flow testing
• Identify the structure and function of body systems
• Apply standard precautions and safety measures
• Experience leadership opportunities and competition through HOSA
